Luciano Sandrone Barolo Cannubi Boschis 2011
|Region||Italy, Piedmont, Barolo|
The forward, lush nose of the 2011 Cannubi Boschis shows ripe red and black cherries, raspberries and licorice aromas, with vanillin oak notes and seamless integration. The warm growing season gave us a Barolo Cannubi Boschis of uncommon grace, ripeness and readiness on the palate - this wine has powerful, ripe fruit at center stage in the mouth, with mineral, oak and spice notes in supporting roles. The complexity of this wine comes from its harmony and balance - it is a compelling, toned Barolo, delicious now but with potential to age. The finish is long and sweet with fruit and oak notes.
Cherry flavors mingle with wild herb and underbrush notes in this red. Shows purity and a linear profile, backed by a solid structure. More nervous and energetic than a lot of 2011s, presenting a lingering finish. Best from 2019 through 2032.
