It has a lifted cranberry, wild strawberry and oyster shell tinged bouquet. The palate is well balanced with good grip and backbone, nicely focused with crisp red berry fruit laced with cracked black pepper towards the finish. Drink: 2022 – 2028. 89-91 points

Burghound, Allan Meadows, Oct 2021: (a 6.9 ha monopole). Moderate wood and menthol influences are present on the ripe and airy aromas of both red and dark berries along with plenty of earth and a whiff of sauvage character. The velvety, round and utterly delicious flavors possess very good concentration while displaying fine depth and length on the saline, firm, serious and youthfully austere finale. This appears to offer excellent development potential and is worth checking out. Drink: 2030+. Outstanding. 92 pts.
