Mount Eden Vineyards Estate Chardonnay 2013The full-bodied Estate Chardonnay displays fine underlying acidity and a long finish. Hints of cardamom, anise and hazelnut and interest to the core lemon mineral flavors. Of all of Mount Eden's estate-grown wines, the Chardonnay is most in need of further bottle aging at release, requiring an additional two to four years to fully reveal its true char- acter. Many vintages are still fresh and enjoyable after fifteen years, explaining why Mount Eden Estate Chardonnay is considered one of California's longest-lived white wines.
Chappellet Signature Cabernet Sauvignon 2013The phenomenal 2013 growing season has yielded one of our finest Sig- nature Cabernets in memory. Both charming and complex, this is a wine that strikes a deft balance between elegance and power. The nose reveals layers of black cherry, cassis, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and oak- inspired notes of cedar and spice. On the palate, fine-grained tannins underscore a classic Cabernet structure, as well as alluring blackberry and wild berry flavors that resonate through to a long, lingering finish.
Beaux Freres The Beaux Frères Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014Color - Medium to dark ruby, Body - medium to full. A darker, more brooding and fuller bodied wine, our original estate vineyard Pinot is approachable but ideally will benefit from several years of patience. Clearly one of our best vintages given the richness and purity of the spectrum of red, blue and black fruits on parade and virtually no oak showing despite being raised in about 50% of the finest French oak. Originally Mike farmed it conventionally but about 13 years ago started experimenting with nonconventional farming methods and now our entire property is being farmed using biodynamic principles. We are not certified either organic or biodynamic but we invite you to visit our farm (by appointment please) and see our farming practices firsthand.
Owen Roe Sinister Hand 2015The 2015 'Sinister Hand' red blend is a generous fusion of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Cinsaut. It is easily approachable while displaying undeniable complexity. The Grenache portion of the blend contributes cranberry and raspberry candied fruit notes, while the Syrah delivers darker fruits and savory characteristics. Mourvedre enhances the structure and richness of the body and provides delicate aromas of violets. The partially carbonic macerated Cinsaut brings liveliness and tropical fruit flavors to the blend. Try pairing with a smoked salmon dish with cranberry sauce and grilled portabello.
Ridge Vineyards Monte Bello Chardonnay 2013Striking pale gold. Fresh apricot and pear, citrus blossom, crème brûlée, dried fig, quince. Sweet-tart entry; grapefruit, wet stone, ginger root. Lively acid, elegant texture, outstandingly long finish.
Hahn Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2015Our Hahn SLH Pinot Noir is truly an estate wine. We produce it entirely in the Santa Lucia Highlands where we grow the grapes in our own vineyards, choose the best fruit, age the wine in French oak barrels in our cellar and bottle it on site. To make our Hahn SLH Pinot Noir, our winemakers select fruit that yields the most expressive aromas and flavors. After the fruit is carefully sorted, it undergoes a three-day cold soak in open top fermenters. We then age this 100% Pinot Noir for 11 months in a selection of French oak barrels. When the wine is ready to be blended, we choose the barrels we feel best exemplified the aromas, flavors and structure of the Santa Lucia Highlands. The result is a Pinot Noir that opens with alluring aromas of black cherry and dark currant. What follows are intense black fruit flavors balanced by ripe red plums and a hint of allspice. A slight acidity beautifully highlights the supple tannins and long finish.
Ridge Vineyards Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2014Deep purple color. Aromas of blackcurrant, cherries, clove spice, toasted oak, and cocoa. Ripe bramble fruit entry, medium-full body, supple tannins, and sweet oak; firm acid persists in a long finish.

Patricia Green Estate Old Vine Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir 2017Ribbon Ridge can produce wines of incredible delicacy and wines of enormous power. Patricia Green's Estate Vineyard bottling has always fallen into the latter category. The duress the plants are under in the thin marine soils' upper layers causes the fruit to be relatively low in yields and smaller on a per cluster basis. This makes for darker and more naturally more structured wines.
Patricia Green Dry Muscat Ottonel 2016Muscat Ottonel is a white wine grape variety that is a member of the Muscat family. It is most notable for its use in dessert wines from Austria, Romania, Croatia and Serbia as well as dry wines from Alsace and Hungary. We have produced this exotic varietal in a bone-dry style showcasing its elegance and fragrance of pear blossoms and white flowers. This is generally a lower acid grape and while it is far from high in acid it has a nice lift and snap to it that makes for a refreshing, almost thirst-quenching sort of beverage.

Domaine Comte Georges de Voguë Bonnes Mares 2008Deep, saturated-cherry red. Wow, what a nose; the glass doesn't even need a swirl to give up chocolate- and creme-brulee-covered, red-cherry fruit. Super complexity. The nose is well-matched to a beautifully textured palate, incredibly complex flavors that cling to your gums, fine tannins that are completely covered by the fruit.
Domaine Comte Georges de Voguë Bonnes Mares 2009Deep cherry-red. A brooding nose that mixes red and black fruit, though black is dominant, with a coffee edge. Concentrated and tannic. Starts on full power, a gradual diminuendo is the character of the wine-well it couldn't go higher-fading very slowly into the finish. It's fully packed with material and shows great balance. Not a hint four-square, but I wouldn't consider opening this bruiser for at least another eight years.

Fontodi Chianti Classico Riserva Vigna del Sorbo 2010All Fontodi wines are produced from grapes coming from their own vineyards, picked by hand, chosen with care and vinified in a way that exalts the character of the vines and the territory. Vigna del Sorbo with south-west exposure with 30 years old vines. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts for at least 3 weeks. Ageing in Troncais and Allier barrels 50% new for 24 months.
Elio Grasso Barolo Gavarini Vigna Chiniera 2010The vinification procedure for Barolo Gavarini Chiniera involves alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with daily pumping over. After completing malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in 25-hectolitre barrels of Slavonian oak. Bottling normally takes place in August. The Barolo Gavarini Chiniera then stays in the binning cellar for 8-10 months before release.
Ornellaia Le Serre Nuove 2012Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia 2012 is as expected ; a deep ruby red. A very crisp, clean-edged bouquet features emphatic notes of wild berry fruit and sweet violets, with underlying hints of pungent spice and roast espresso bean. The palate is full-volumed with a good weight, yet at the same time displaying elegance and pedigree, with a velvet-smooth, glossy texture and up-front fruit. A lovely vein of acidity propels a near-endless finish, held taut and true by an exceptional charge of tannins, bringing the wine to a close on an intensely refreshing note.
Ornellaia Ornellaia 2012The 2012 growing season was characterised by an abundance of sunny, dry weather; some rain did fall as well, but it occurred in just the right periods, before the harvest, and helped the vines to cope with the hot, dry conditions. The result was an even, consistent ripening process that in the end yielded generous, full-volumed wines that are remarkably appealing and seductive, with an overall character that we like to define with the word Incanto ('Enchantment'). Ornellaia 2012 appears a deep ruby, and a remarkably beguiling bouquet boasts rich fruit and spices notes. The palate shows well-rounded, full, and generous, with glossy tannins and a complete absence of any roughness. The 2012 lacks none of the proverbial concentration that distinguishes Ornellaia's, great vintages, but this vintage adroitly masks that richness behind an expansive, magisterial structure, then concludes with a near-endless finish.
Elio Grasso Barolo Ginestra Vigna Casa Maté 2011The vinification procedure for Barolo Ginestra Casa Maté involves alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with daily pumping over. After completing malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in 25-hectolitre barrels of Slavonian oak. Bottling normally takes place in August. The Barolo Ginestra Casa Maté then stays in the binning cellar for 8-10 months before release.
Roberto Voerzio Barolo Brunate 2009Concentrated and intensely ruby red in color, this superlative Barolo offers complex aromas of super-ripe red currants, raspberries, and cedar beautifully integrated with mineral notes, mushrooms, mocha liqueur, smoke, eucalyptus, and pepper on the nose. Food Pairing: Pair with black truffle risotto, salt crusted prime rib, or roast lamb with currant jelly.
Luciano Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne 2011Unlike its sibling the Barolo Cannubi Boschis, the 2011 Barolo Le Vigne is defined by its internal tightness, muscularity and structure, with an overlay of delicate Nebbiolo perfume. The nose shows black fruits and licorice, black pepper and earthy mineral notes, with cola nut and subtle oak notes. On the palate, this wine is both more tannic and more elegant than its brother - the terroirs from which this wine is made give powerful, ripe tannins to the final wine, and the fruit never seems jammy or overly concentrated. Fruit balance and acidity are excellent and bode well for long-term aging. Finish is long and tight with considerable tannins and minerality. Needs patience.
Luciano Sandrone Barolo Cannubi Boschis 2011The forward, lush nose of the 2011 Cannubi Boschis shows ripe red and black cherries, raspberries and licorice aromas, with vanillin oak notes and seamless integration. The warm growing season gave us a Barolo Cannubi Boschis of uncommon grace, ripeness and readiness on the palate - this wine has powerful, ripe fruit at center stage in the mouth, with mineral, oak and spice notes in supporting roles. The complexity of this wine comes from its harmony and balance - it is a compelling, toned Barolo, delicious now but with potential to age. The finish is long and sweet with fruit and oak notes.
Ornellaia Ornellaia 2013What appeared to be a disadvantage for the 2013 vintage - late budding and flowering - proved to be a major advantage thanks to a warm summer and month of September offering textbook conditions for harvesting, with cool temperatures but a prevalence of sunny weather. This resulted in slow but complete ripening with great balance and a delightful aromatic quality, which we like to define as "Elegance". Ornellaia 2013, with its dense, vibrant colour, has a nose of splendid aromatic complexity built around a limpid and brilliant fruitiness, underscored by refined spicy and balsamic notes. The mouth develops vibrant and complex fruity nuances framed by a dense, slender structure with tannins that attain a rare harmony between firmness and fleshiness, concluding with a long balanced and fresh finish.
Elio Grasso Barolo Ginestra Vigna Casa Maté 2012The vinification procedure for Barolo Ginestra Casa Maté involves alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with daily pumping over. After completing malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in 25-hectolitre barrels of Slavonian oak. Bottling normally takes place in August. The Barolo Ginestra Casa Maté then stays in the binning cellar for 8-10 months before release.
Montevertine Le Pergole Torte 2013he prestige wine of Montevertine is only produced in outstanding vintages. This ultimate wine is aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for 18 months and then racked into small French oak (Allier) barrels for the final six month stage of its elevage. It is produced primarily from a two hectare vineyard planted in 1968 exclusively to Sangiovese vines with a north-northeast exposure. Matches roast white and red meat, poultry and wildfowl, venison, cheese.
Paolo Scavino Barolo Carobric 2013The Barolo CAROBRIC® personality is about focus, precision of elements, intensity and length. The aromatics are lifted with a beautiful tension and clarity. As per all our Barolo, we pursue the purest expression of terroir. Therefore vinification and aging are all the same to underline specific expression of the vineyards.
Elio Grasso Barolo Ginestra Vigna Casa Maté 2013The vinification procedure for Barolo Ginestra Casa Maté involves alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with daily pumping over. The Barolo Ginestra Casa Maté then stays in the binning cellar for 8-10 months before release.
Luciano Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne 2012Le Vigne Barolo interprets the ancient handed-down wisdom and tradition of Langhe and Barolo of assembling the Nebbiolo grapes from various vineyards. We interpret this historic practice by working only with indigenous yeasts and by keeping the grapes of each vineyard separated during the fermentation and wood ageing, rather than combining them during fermentation.
Elio Grasso Barolo Gavarini Vigna Chiniera 2012The vinification procedure for Barolo Gavarini Chiniera involves alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with daily pumping over. After completing malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in 25-hectolitre barrels of Slavonian oak. Bottling normally takes place in August. The Barolo Gavarini Chiniera then stays in the binning cellar for 8-10 months before release.

Luciano Sandrone Barolo Cannubi Boschis 2012The 2012 Barolo Cannubi Boschis shows great aromatic complexity, with raspberry, strawberry and underbrush notes in an open, generous nose. The palate shows more backwardness; complex, layered flavors of red fruits, eucalyptus, leather and mushroom with dry, delicate tannins that will need a few years to evolve. The finish has long red fruit character with dry tannins and hints of wood. The wine is already drinkable and generous but will benefit from a few years of patience. Drink 2020-2035.
G. D. Vajra Barolo Ravera 2013The estate is steeped in tradition, Barolos are macerated for 20 to 30 days depending on the vintage. Wines are typically matured in large neutral Slavonian casks. Stylistically, the estate produces wines of incredible finesse and elegance.
G. D. Vajra Barolo Bricco della Viole 2014Appearance: Bright garnet in colour. Aroma: A very complex nose with black fruits, violet and sambuca flowers and a vivid marasca cherry character. Mouth Feel: Vibrant and dense on the palate, with a hint of graphite and a very long finish. The wine is still young and quite restrained but promises a terrific evolution with ageing.
Roberto Voerzio Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata Torriglione 2008
Giacomo Conterno Barolo Cascina Francia 2012For 45 years, until his death in 2004, Giovanni Conterno forged a reputation as the greatest of all Barolo producers, irrespective of style. The wines he made were the quintessence of "traditional" Barolo: rich, powerful, massively structured, and capable of long development in bottle. For many, his heroic Monfortino-the product of wild temperature swings during fermentation and 6 to 8 years in barrel-is the most perfect expression of the Nebbiolo grape. As for his glorious Barolo Cascina Francia, it has long been the benchmark against which other producers measure their own efforts.
